Avez vous des retours d'expérience sur cette boards. Ceux qui en ont une, l'ont essayé ou autre...

J'ai la 84 , je pese 94kg (prévu descendant) et je voudrais une board pour les sessions light surfsailing et aussi surtout les sessions vagues vent pourraves, quand je suis trop limite en 5.4 / 84 et que les gabarits moyens planent en 4.7/5.3 et 80/85l.

Donc questions sur le planing, le cap(je pense bon) la vitesse (comparé a la 84, on se traine pas?), la nav dans le clapot...etc...au surf je me doute qu'elle marche fort.

Elle devrait me servir pour les trips et les sessions avec des vagues ou ca me fait chier de sortir la board de FS...

Et aussi si quelqu'un peut la comparer a la tabou FS 100 de 07 (=95l) ou 90 plus recente ...niveau planing...etc...
Car en fait outre la carene, la largeur compte bcp pour le planing et la tabou fait 62,5 et la mistral 63....donc est que la largeur compense d'après vous la difference de shape ou je reve les yeux ouverts...

??? Personne ???

faut demander a shangu il l'a, j'essaye de le faire passer par la a l'occase. apparement de ce qu'il m'en a dit il est fan pour le lightwind. (c'est un pur bouchonneur notre shangu ) lui pese environ 80kg

I am hoping to use my Twinzer 92 later today...there is swell, its cross off and MAYBE just enough wind i hope!

Je te previens je ne vends pas ma 92, je suis sur une 84 mais j'ai une piste ...

Cette 92 est large mais le maitre bau est tres avancé, tu connais le shape ca file etroit, elle est dodue mais les concaves fonctionnent a merveille, c'est juste pour te dire que j'ai pas l'impression de rider une 92L tant en surf qu'en saut.

Pour moi ca planne mieux que la AllWave92 2008, mieux que mon Evo 92 2007 tout en offrant un feeling de board de 85L ( je pense que c'est le bon feeling ).En galice j'ai un pote qui avait une 7th twin 90L je crois et je partais limite un brin avant lui alors que je pese 10kgs de plus que lui.
Le coté surprenant de la board c'est la tenue parfaite dans le vent superieur ( 5m2 a la rue ) je pense que la 84 dois etre phenomenale.

Si je dois choisir une voile parfaite pour cette board, je met 5.7.
Je navigue en cependant en 5.4 et 5.8 ( 5.8 se tiens sans probleme ).

Aucun defaut j'ai fait du ultra light 8/10 noeuds a remonter les series c'est nikel mais je pese 80.
Pour moi le gros "plus" c'est le caractere de petite board en sensation et la portance de 92L tout ce que j'ai toujours cherché ...

Well, yesterday was a fun session:
- Super super clean, cross-off and chest-head high waves.
- Only problem was it was VERY light winds (gusty 10-15 mph?)...could only plane on a wave, not possible any other time...so lots of swimming and waterstarting!
- I was on Ezzy 5.8 and 92...used it about 6 times now. Im 83kg naked.

Im not an expert but I think the 92 is the BEST / loosest large wave board i have ridden...works in cross shore as well as cross-on.

My friend had a Fanatic twin 93 and this i dont think is so good for cross-on...but maybe better for cleaner down-the-line conditions.

Certainly better than Evo92 for me.


Width - its very wide (63) but the shape means it doesnt feel it....certainly less bouyant / float than an old RRD FSW 95 for me.

Just like the 84, the max width is quite far forward, and then a narrow pin tail for its size. I think the tail ofo is circa 36-37cm.....compare this to my Evo 80 = 39+cm!

So - although it is wide it doesnt really feel it on a wave at all. On the downside, it doest glide or plane early in my opinion like a 63cm wide FSW board will. It is about compromise - it has a narrow-ish tail so wave riding is good, but this means that freeride/planing is less good.

The top turn is very very good....not quite as good/skatey as the 84 but still very very good for a board of this size.

My friend (who is much better than me), beleives the 92 is the best large waveboard he has tried!

I would say 6m-5.2m is the best range.

Bad points - no nose, as with the 84.

I think the Quatro Tempo 92 could also be very interesting...i would like to see the 84 to compare with the mistral 84:

I set the fins assymetric yesterday...toe fin 1cm further back...seemed to work very well!

Compared to the 84, the difference in early planing is really big or not so much, just the bouyant? You feel it or not so much? (for ex with a 5.4 sail)

Personally, i dont think the early planing is that much better than the 84...be interesting to measure the tail widths and compare 30cm point - I would guess 36 (84) and 37 (92)

The main difference is the extra width / volume nearer the mast track as you know from the shape of the 84, which allows you to float easier (if you are >80kg) out in gusty cross off.

Certainly im sure the 92 is a better board (easier) for the 5.5-6m range, compared with the 84.

My plan is to try and get an 84, and then swap-over between the two boards around 5.2 winds....if it is strong wind i can go to 84, but if it is gusty or light winds on the inside next to the beach (which i get a lot) then i will use the 92 to allow me to get out.

If you know of a excellent condition 84 that can be sent to Wales pls let me know!

So - in conclusion i think the 92 is essentially a scaled up 84 that works better for floating out with a 5.3m+, and still allow good riding on the wave. A 95 FSW (JP, RRD, Fanatic) would certainly plane better, but of course is much stiffer on the wave coming in!

Merci Shangu et Northy vos avis m'ont décidé à sauter le pas pour la 92 en light...

De toute façon je n'avais pas le budget pour une Kona MT alors....

11/04 13h30 Trouville F3 à tout pété vaguelette 0.5 1m M°twinzer 92 et Boxer 5.8.

Bonne flotabilité en non planing à peine les pied dans l'eau.

Elle avance bien et la remOntée au vent est facile.

Première vaguelette : Très amusant même caractère que la 76 bien joueuse.

Et puis le vent monte et là planning bonne vitesse cap toujours aussi bon.

Jibe hyper facile dans un mouchoir ou bon carving.

les vagues se font rares mais premier saut sur un petit pic et bon contrôle.

Conclusion : Petite session de prise en main hyper heureux pas dessu et même impatient de la prochaine... dans de vrais vagues !
Suis resté un peu sur ma faim mais bon...

A confirmer à la prochaine mais y a pas : c'est de la balle !
