some pics
but camera broke down after some shots...so you have to do it with these ;-)

carbon rails, bamboo deck
boards sizes. 100(lightwind play in the wave's), 85 and 75 liter
sandwich/ double under feet --done by Quatro -neighbour of sean ;-)
they did also the antislip+pads
// Raw eps foam came from Nelson, so it's The Haiku Pauwely Cannery Combo ;-)
Image

shape+ glassing/bamboo-ing(resin art) by Sean (optimized strenght /weight/flex)
new version of the fish board: The Guppy
the "sailboard" edition of his surfboards.

Why no 2,3 or 4 fin? Well it is allready so loose and snappy in the pocket of the wave, so I just didn't need it.
You sail these boards with small fins. rails and shape (+rider ;-))do the rest

DAAAAAAAAAMN They are beautiful! 8) Makes me wanna sell my magic sticks... (naaah, they're too good)

I have the R99 and the classic 88. Have you already tested them? can you point out some main differences between the boards?

Are they based on a standard shape or afe these full tailormade customs??

Magnificent !
David how much did one Ordonez custom board cost you ?

Juste magnifique!

Pierre, give me 2 weeks... and I'll be at your doorstep ;-)

@ tiki
The boards are all tailormade-- I gave loads of info what i wanted/searched for.. but also what board I was riding (easy cause i know all the sos boards)
But Sean also came in with his ideas/visons. And as he is a master in shaping I give him the full freedom

The boards are based on all the high performance surfboards he makes nowadays

The boards are like the fishes but with a bit of classic inside. Fast, loose and super direct.

@ anowan.
as for the prices
I'm not totally sure, but I thought Sean charges for his "normal construction" custom sailboards: 1800 USD = 1350 euro
A custom Bamboo/carbon construction: 2400 USD = 1800 euro
so if you compare that to the stock factory boards.......

* The boards are not the easy take out of the rack factory boards, so to get one, you need a longer traject.... but that give's it all the magic/joy.
At least a great excuse to go to maui

Quelques marques proposeront du bambou l'an prochain en série (au moins deux) ;)

Mat, There are so many ways to use "wood+bamboo" in surfboards. Most are just optical paper thin veneer. If you use some materials in the right way, you can ad some livity/flex/pop in your board

Sean showed me how strong the "orange/bamboo" longboard was. He turned deck down, and jumped on the bottum and started jumping on it with his full body weight. it kept on flexing without a crack. Than he jumped off, and the board bounced some times up. So it keeps on flexing
I was really amazed. Those carbon/bamboo surfboards are also shaped way thinner than normal ones, due to their pop/flex

T1 utilisera aussi du bamboo dans ces planches:
